This thread is to give our Dealer members of our club a place that they can make announcements about their services, sales and other dealer related issues.

I would request that non dealer members keep postings in this thread specifically related to questions regarding something a dealer has posted. Dealers should use this thread to announce items they have for sale rather than the for sale/wanted section.

From Vespa Canada.

2/15/08
Canadian Scooter Corporation Announces 2008 collection of Vespa, Piaggio and Aprilia Scooters.
Toronto, Ontario. January 22nd, 2008: Canadian Scooter Corp., the exclusive distributer of new Vespa, Piaggio and Aprilia scooters in Canada, is excited to announce its 2008 collection of scooters which feature; the dynamic Vespa ?S?, the latest additions to the three-wheeled family, the MP3 400 and 500, along with Aprilia?s Scarabeo 200 and 500.

?This 2008 collection is the perfect culmination of Piaggio?s renowned history and technical innovation,? says Morey Chaplick, president of Canadian Scooter Corp. ?Our latest collection continues to elevate the scooter industry to new levels.?

Founded in 1946, the Vespa brand has been recognized around the world as an icon of Italian design and style. The appeal of the sporty ?Vespino? lives on in the shape of the all-new Vespa S, inspired by Vespa?s long tradition in young and dynamic scooter design. The minimalist styling of the Vespa S traces its origins back to legendary models like the 50 Special and the Vespa Primavera. The Vespa Special and Primavera became icons of the 70s generation whose aspirations and conquests were to shape the world for decades to come. With its minimalist but decisive styling, simple yet elegant design, the Vespa S features the same dynamism and freshness that made the Vespa the favourite scooter of young people in the roaring seventies.

The handlebar fairing houses a new rectangular headlight. Vespa fans are sure to recall the amazing 50 Special, a favourite with teenagers throughout the fabulous seventies. The front shield is more impressive too, with a new, aggressive looking air intake. Reduced in size to reveal the layout of the suspension, the new shape mudguard also features a stylish chrome trim for an even sleeker look. The seat is typically ?70s in styling and upholstered in new materials, enhanced with a classy trim that emphasises its stylish shape. The rear of the Vespa S also has an all-new look with a sleek, simple look and a new tail light designed to enhance its sporty aesthetic. The Vespa S comes equipped with a modern, eco-friendly four stroke 150 cc engine, characterised by excellent performance and fuel efficiency. The Vespa S offers sporty performance and agility not just around town but on longer journeys too, when it offers the perfect combination of safety and pleasure. The Vespa S has a suggested retail of $5,295.

After achieving extraordinary sales figures, the Piaggio MP3 has now acquired new, bigger 400 and 500 cc engines. The Piaggio MP3, a three-wheel scooter that recently revolutionized personal transport by redefining the entire concept of ride stability, has grown to a 400cc displacement to offer unprecedented performance and safety. Fun, nimble and spirited, the Piaggio MP3 handles curves with extraordinary safety and road holding while providing all the power and distance range of a touring maxi scooter. The Piaggio MP3 has upped its engine capacity to offer even zippier performance together with a safe, fun ride. The new Master 400 engine ? a 4 stroke, 4 valve unit with liquid cooling and electronic injection, provides a 34 hp power output at 7,500 rpm and torque of 38Nm at 5,500 rpm.

Additionally, the MP3 500 combines passion, adventure and innovation into one perfect machine. Two front wheels and a revolutionary parallelogram front suspension together with the new double ignition Master 500ie engine, give the MP3 500 additional performance power combined with safe, fun riding experience. The MP3 400 has a suggested retail of $9,995 and the MP3 500 has a suggested retail of $10,495.

Finally Aprilia, the Italian manufacturer of world renowned racing bikes and scooters introduces the easy-to-ride, maneuverable and lightweight Scarabeo 200 and 500. See the city in style! The Scarabeo 200 and 500 are icons of two wheeler design. Introducing new designs, the Scarabeo 200 and 500 features a brand new modern and compact styling while retaining all the unique features that have made Scarabeo such a great seller. The 500 also features sleek lines with advanced ergonomics and functionality that incorporate a wide range of solutions to make life in the saddle easier and more comfortable than ever. The 500 also comes equipped with an adjustable windshield and the under-seat storage compartment is the biggest of any large wheeled scooter. The Scarabeo 200 has a MSRP of $3,995. The Scarabeo 500 has a MSRP of $7,995.

Vespa Markham is closed.
After a lengthly spell of slow sales in the burbs, regrettably, our store in Markham is now closed. Happily, our Totally Scooters store on Queen Street West is open and doing well. For those who are interested, we are obligated to sell our remaining Vespa, Piaggio and Aprilia inventory and thus, I am taking serious offers on the models we have remaining in our inventory. We are only interested in getting our cost (or as close to it as possible) for all the remaining inventory, so needless to say, there are incredible deals to be had.
I can be reached at Totally Scooters - come in and see me (by appointment - call to 416-77-SCOOT) as I will not negotiate over the phone or quote prices on the phone. I would appreciate that if you are 'shopping' price, bring us what you consider a fair price and if it is affordable to both of us, we'll have a deal. (note: the prices on our website may be higher than the price you can get).

Regards,
Brian Price

Sorry to hear about Vespa Markham going under Brian. It is always sad to hear about a business going under. Hopefully Totally Scooters does well in the long run. TMSC would like to thank you for the support Vespa Markham gave TMSC in 2006 and the beginning of 2007 by doing rides for the club.
