Ralph (a Westender SC member) is interested in pulling together a long ride this Saturday 9/20. It will primarily consist of City / Residential riding starting from West Seattle, traveling the many twisty curvy roads along Seattle's coastline heading north to Golden Gardens then return to West Seattle... estimate is around 70 miles total. Ride some or all of it... 50 cc and Family Friendly.
Arrive early at C&P Coffee (www.candpcoffee.com) to enjoy pastries, coffee drinks and conversation. Ride leaves promptly at 11:00 am. What better way to enjoy the mild summer-like weather from the seat of your scooter. Hope to see you there. Edited by 'Fuzz' on Sep 16, 2008 9:31 PM |

....pretty wet out today and fortunately everybody else had the good sense to not show up for this ride. Still I'd like to do it so I'm offering it up again for next saturday (9/27). Same time, same place.

I'd join next Saturday if I wasn't already going on a ride down to Oly Town with some Ruckus riders...

Sissy...
During the summer last year when I rode from Seattle to Olympia I went by way of Tacoma, Steilicom and Nisqually. The way I went required about a half mile of freeway travel between Dupont and Nisqually. If you know a route that avoids the freeway through that section without going over east of the fort let me know how it goes. Edited by Ralph Leach on Sep 22, 2008 1:59 PM |

The Oly folks are going to meet us in Tacoma and escort us the rest of the way; so I'm not totally sure what the complete route is right now.
After we go on the ride, I'd be more than happy to share the route if it turns out we don't hop on the freeway. :) |

Sissy... Yep, the way we went we did get on the freeway for a short time... it was on and off again in a minute. We rode the shoulder the whole way since most folks topped out at 45mph. :) |
