Amy and I won't be able to scoot on the 12th, so we're going to try to pull something together for the 5th. We'll get together at Mochas and Javas, at Wonder World and Hunter around 10-10:30 for some coffee and some catching up. Around 10:45, we'll head out to Cooper's Barbecue, in New Braunfels. Cooper's is pretty new and the food is very good. They also have dedicated motorcycle parking up front. What more do you need? This ride will take us down Hunter Road and part of 46. If you've got a slower scooter, or aren't comfortable on roads like those, you're welcome to meet us for coffee and/or drive to Cooper's to meet. http://www.coopersbb qnewbraunfels.com/ 1125 Loop 337 New Braunfels, TX 78130-3431 (830) 627-0627

Amy has to work on Saturday afternoon, so we thought we'd do an early ride. This one went well when we did it a couple of times, last year. Amy and I will be at Mochas and Javas around 8:30, for coffee. We'll head for the square at 9:00 and hopefully be enjoying Brazilian French Toast, or Cherry Hazelnut Oatmeal shortly thereafter. If you've never had breakfast at The Root Cellar, you're in for a real treat. This is one of our favorite spots in San Marcos. I'd like to get some feedback on some other scoot ideas, like the zip line tour in Wimberley and the motorcycle safety course for scooters (or anything anyone else wants to try).

We'll meet at Mochas and Javas between 10:00 and 10:30 and hit the road at 11:00. From there, we'll take RR12 to the much quieter Fulton Ranch Road, with a final destination of Juan Henry's, at 500 River Road, in Wimberley. Other than a brief (2 miles?) stretch of Ranch Road 12, on the way out of town, the ride is a pretty relaxed pace. There is a BIG hill toward the end of Fulton Ranch Road, which may present problems for smaller scooters, but I can't say for sure. If you can't make it to Wimberley, or if the hill sounds like a problem, feel free to join us for coffee anyway.

Hey everyone. I hope you're all enjoting the summer. It's been quite awhile since the last meetup and we have some new members. So, let's get together at Mochas and Javas, at Wonder World and Hunter around 10-10:30 for some coffee and some catching up. Around 10:45, we'll head out to Cooper's Barbecue, in New Braunfels. I've been a fan of the Wimberley Glass Works since 1994. They have great stuff and you can watch them work, which is really impressive. We'll meet at Mochas and Javas at 10:00 and head out around 11:00. Our destination is along RR12, which is kind of hilly and people are moving along at 50-55 mph. It's only about 5 miles, but that is something to consider. If you're not up for RR12, feel free to meet us at Mochas and Javas anyway. Or, you can take a car to Wimberley Glass Works. We won't tell anyone. :-)

We'll meet at Mochas and Javas for a cup of coffee and head out around 10:30. From there, we'll hit Tantra, the other Mochas and Javas, Wake the Dead, Jo on the Go and whatever other coffee shops we can think of. How much coffee can you drink? I can drink a lot. I think most of these places have other drinks and various foods, like that matters. There are plenty of nice back roads to ride and no DWI concerns (I think) from coffee.

We'll meet at Mochas and Javas and hit the road at 12:00. From there, we'll take RR12 to the much quieter Fulton Ranch Road, with a final destination of Inoz, at 14004 RR12 in Wimberley. We can have lunch and head back to San Marcos, or we can hit some of the shops for some last-minute Christmas shopping - whatever everyone is up for.

We'll meet at Mochas and Javas and hit the road around 6:00. From there, we'll ride through a few of the historic neighborhoods and check out the Christmas lights, on our way to the Sights and Sounds festival in City Park. Once at Sights and Sounds, anyone who wants to hang out with the group is welcome to do so, as is anyone who wants to wander around on their own.

We'll head out from Mochas and Javas around 11:00 and take the back roads past the Outlet Malls and over to Centerpoint Station, for burgers and milkshakes. Of course, you're not obligated to get either, or the onion rings, but I'll be having all three. This is a good ride, as we come upon the Christmas shopping season. Some of you may want to head over to the Outlet Malls and get some early shopping done, before things start to get really crazy. Others may just appreciate learning a quieter, more scenic route to the malls. I'm going to start throwing some off-week and non-Saturday rides into the mix, for those who are busy on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays.
